Lawrence County is home to over 60,000 citizens with a median income of just over $29,000.  This is about 2/3 of the national median income.  Why are we not getting our fair share?  Are we not working as hard as the rest of the country?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

We have not shared in the wealth, because we have not done a good job recruiting manufacturing jobs to replace good jobs lost.  Our families, after losing long time, good paying jobs, have replaced one lost job with two jobs, both paying a much lesser wage with few, if any benefits.  We’re now working harder for less.  NOT the American Dream.

Ask yourself if you and your family are better off now than you were five years ago.   If not, then let's take Lawrence County in a new direction.  Let’s work to bring manufacturing jobs back to our area.  Let’s increase our tax base, not increase our taxes.  Let's put our community first, not the interest of a select few.  A long journey starts with one step.  That step is to exercise the power of your vote, and vote for Paul Carman - Democrat for a New Direction.
